Violation of compulsory inspection fined nearly one million yuan in one week import cases hit a new high

There were 9,952 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong yesterday, and imported cases accounted for 725, a new high in three years. More than 60% of them, or 464 people, were tested and confirmed at the airport. The Hospital Authority announced that 16 more patients aged between 56 and 97 died yesterday, 7 of whom were from institutions. The total number of deaths in the fifth wave of the epidemic is 10,842.

According to the Center for Health Protection, a total of 34 residents and 7 employees were diagnosed in 26 institutions yesterday, and another 36 schools with a total of 44 classes had to suspend face-to-face classes for a week due to clustered cases. Classes 2 to 4 will be suspended.

10 raids uncovered 163 people who violated the notice of forced inspection

At present, the Hong Kong government issues mandatory testing announcements every day, requiring relevant residents or people in specified locations to undergo testing, and dispatches personnel to make surprise inspections of relevant locations almost every day to check whether residents have complied with the mandatory testing announcements. The government’s Facebook page “Tamar Terrace” stated yesterday that during the 10 inspections in the past 7 days, a total of 163 people violated the announcement, and 96 of them were fined 10,000 yuan.
