My son died of envy (video)

The Egyptian artist, Jalila, has issued social networking sites during the past hours.

Where Jalila Mahmoud said during her meeting on the “Kalam Al-Nas” program on MBC Egypt, that she lost her 18-year-old son 24 years ago because of envy.

She added, “My son died because of envy, and I do not like anyone to know anything regarding my children, because the pain has been going on with me since 1998.”

She explained: “I used to say that I have 3 boys and a girl, so I was told (You are not the one like you who brings children), and then a phone came to me telling me that my son had an accident.”

And Jalila Mahmoud continued: “My son was 18 years old, in the first college of commerce, and he passed away, and for this reason I do not like anyone to talk to me regarding my children, and I do not show their pictures.”

The Egyptian artist defended her point of view, saying: “Envy is mentioned in the Qur’an. At first I was young and happy with my children and took them with me everywhere, but I pray to God not to feel this pain once more because this is the most difficult thing a person can go through.”

The artist, Jalila Mahmoud, recently finished filming her scenes in the series “The Game”, the fourth part, which is her first appearance following a long absence from the artwork.

The director of the series, Moataz Al-Tuni, nominated the artist to participate in the work, and it is considered the second cooperation between them following her work with him before in the series “Captain Anoush”.
