Books – Hani Saber:
The artist, Liqa Al-Khamisi, raised a state of controversy between her and the audience and pioneers of the “Twitter” site, because of her talk regarding the niqab, following a message she sent to a follower, in which she confirmed that her private matters related to religion, beliefs, or ideas belong to no one else.
And Liqaa wrote, through her Twitter account: “My dear teacher, my religion does not belong to you, my belief does not belong to you, my ideas belong to me only, you can accept or reject them with respect, and you have all my respect, because difference of opinion does not spoil friendliness, respect for difference is a human duty, You have what is yours and I have what is mine. Your respect for yourself begins with your respect for the other, whatever his thoughts are.
And in another post, she said: “Ok, I did not criticize the niqab..I liked a video shirt..and this is my personal opinion and I did not slander anyone. Most importantly, the niqab is not mentioned in the Qur’an and it is innovated, and there is no verse in the Qur’an that commands the niqab.) If everyone He read the words and understood their meaning, and he was not distorted in it, so we will understand each other.”
And she added in a third post: “Everyone leaves him in his condition, and most importantly, he has a duty to respect the condition of others.”
The audience’s comments on the messages of Al-Khamisi’s meeting came as follows: “Religion does not have such a thing as a personal opinion.” “Unfortunately, the language of respect for the other is missing in society.” “Are you an interpreter or a scholar of religion to give your opinion regarding the veil?” An intellectual who is good at creativity and the art of responding to dark, life-hating groups.
It is noteworthy that, Liqaa Al-Khamisi participated in the last period in the story “Hatta Min Al-Qamar”, starring: Aida Riyad, Muhammad Al-Amrousi, Gilan Alaa, and written by Mirna Al-Fiqi, directed by Muhammad Abdel-Rahman Hamaki.
A meeting also participated in the series “Open Vacation” starring: Sherif Mounir, Samiha Ayoub, Donia Maher, Murad Makram, Hisham Ismail, written by Ahmed Mahmoud Abu Zaid, directed by Mohamed Abdel Rahman Hamaki.
Oh my dear teacher
My religion does not belong to you, my belief does not belong to you, my thoughts belong to me, I am only for you to accept or reject them with respect, and you have all my respect
Difference of opinion does not spoil the cause of friendliness
Respect for difference is a human duty
You have what is yours and what is mine
Your respect for yourself begins with your respect for the other, whatever his thoughts.– Lekaa Elkhamissi Al-Khamisi meeting (@LekaaElkhamissy) December 28, 2022
