Today, Friday, Celta Vigo achieved a difficult victory over its host Elche, 1-0, in the 16th round of the Spanish Football League.
Celta Vigo opened the scoring early in the first half, by Spaniard Iago Aspas in the 5th minute, so the first period ended with the guests advancing (1-0).
In the second half, the two teams exchanged possession and opportunities, but all attempts were unsuccessful. Elche completed the meeting with ten players after Pedro Bigas was sent off in the 90th + 1 minute with a red card.
With this victory, Celta Vigo reached the 16th point in the 16th place, while the negative results of Elche continued this season, to bottom of the league standings with 4 points.
