Surface Duo 3 could be Microsoft’s first phone with a foldable screen

A new report from “WindowsCentral” indicates that Microsoft may introduce the Surface Duo 3 phone as the first version of a smartphone with a foldable design.

Microsoft unveiled the first version of the Surface Duo phone in 2020, as it runs Android and has dual screens, then Microsoft unveiled the Surface Duo 2 in 2021, which has a similar design.

The “WindowsCentral” report indicates that Microsoft is preparing to launch the Surface Duo 3 with a foldable design to replace the dual screens featured in previous versions of this product line.

The report says that the Surface Duo 3 phone might have a design that mimics Samsung versions of the Galaxy Z Fold series of phones.

The leaks also indicate that the Duo 3 comes with an internally foldable design, and also includes a screen hinge that supports an angle of 180 degrees, with the display on the outer case.

On the other hand, Surface Duo 3 is expected to come with a thinner screen frame design and a longer screen design, provided that this version is officially launched in the last quarter of this year.
