Two Illinois paramedics have been charged with murder after video of an emergency medical response captured by a Springfield police officer showed brutal treatment of a patient.
Springfield police sought medical help for Earl Moore, who said he was suffering from hallucinations due to alcohol withdrawal, and the patient died of asphyxiation while being transported to the hospital.
The coroner’s autopsy report concluded that Moore died of local asphyxia and compression due to being restrained face down.
