Emirates ID and visa fees have been increased in the UAE

Emirates ID and visa fees have been increased in the UAE. The travel agencies stated that they have received notification from the federal authority to increase the special rates.

Each item has been increased by Dh100 each. The rate increase will be applicable for Emirates ID, Visitor Visa and Resident Visa. Along with this, the Emirates ID rate has been increased from Dh270 to Dh370. The one-month visitor visa fee has also changed from Dh270 to Dh370. There has been no specific announcement regarding the fare hike in the Emirate of Dubai yet.

The visa fee has also been increased following the reintroduction of the requirement that visitor visas cannot be renewed from within the UAE. With this, visa procedures for non-residents will cost more.

As the facility of traveling to Oman by road and exiting and returning with a new visa has stopped, expatriates are now returning by plane to renew their visas in Oman or other countries.

The recent abolition of the 90-day visa was also a big setback for expatriates. Recently the Visa fine was consolidated at Dh50. As a result, the daily fine for visitor visas has been reduced from 100 dirhams to 50 dirhams, but that of resident visas has also increased from 25 dirhams to 50 dirhams.
