Radio-Canada has learned that Quebec public health has recommended to the government of François Legault that people who do not present an increased health risk do not need booster doses this winter.
She would only recommend them for people at risk of complications and who have never had COVID-19.
However, these recommendations have not yet been approved by the government.
In Alberta, the Ministry of Health confirms its current vaccination policy and says it does not plan to change it soon.
Booster doses are generally recommended for people five years of age and older, five months following their last vaccine. For people at risk of complications, this interval can be reduced to three months.
