Geneva’s Edouard Schmitz with Quno finished second in the World Cup jumping competition in Amsterdam behind Frenchman Julien Epaillard in the saddle on Donatello. The good Swiss record is completed by Alain Jufer on Dante, who took fourth place.
This result in Amsterdam allows Schmitz to get back into the running for the World Cup final scheduled for Omaha in the United States in early April.
After 12 of the 14 stages of the Western European League, Schmitz is in 16th place in the intermediate classification. Schwizer (22nd), Guerdat (25th) and Balsiger (29th) are currently out of the running as the top 18 and defending champion Martin Fuchs have qualified.
