Vietnam Quoc Tu is a large temple in Ho Chi Minh City, chosen to place a stele commemorating the martyrs and victims of COVID-19, becoming quiet and sacred on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023.
On the Lunar New Year Day of 2023, many people and Buddhists come to Vietnam Quoc Tu (HCMC) to perform pilgrimages and at the same time remember the martyrs and victims during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Monk Thich Thien Tao (Vietnam Quoc Tu Pagoda) said: “Our temple was chosen by the city and the church as a place to place memorials for martyrs and victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day there are many people. In particular, during the Lunar New Year and the Lunar New Year 2023, a large number of Buddhists, monks and nuns also came to commemorate the deceased. during the pandemic of the last century”.
Tonight, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Vietnam Quoc Tu Pagoda will conduct a ceremony to remember the martyrs and victims of COVID-19, and also offer a ceremony to pray for the nation’s peace and prosperity.
