Alain Délétroz, an ambassador for humanitarian law within armed groups

In a universe where the geopolitics of this 21st century pushes us to see everything in black and white, Alain Délétroz appears almost like a UFO. On the one hand, he immersed himself in the Russian world by carrying out a master’s thesis at Sciences Po Paris on the reform of the Russian Red Cross. He also served for four years as an ICRC delegate in Moscow during the first war in Chechnya. He was even invited, several years ago, to the Valdai club and to the dacha of a certain Vladimir Putin, with whom he was able to talk regarding Syria and Dagestan.
