The Turkish government also shared that they will open other intersections in the next two days if the security situation is guaranteed.

Bab al-Hawa is a gathering place for people from northwestern Syria from February 7 to February 8, following they received news from Turkey that the bodies of their loved ones were being brought back to Syria.

According to the United Nations, Bab al-Hawa, in southern Turkey, is the main lifeline for access to the northwestern region of Syria controlled by the opposition. The recent earthquake has devastated the transportation system in this area, making it difficult for aid to reach the people of northern Syria.
