WASHINGTON DC – Less than a week after the US said it shot down a Chinese spy balloon, the Pentagon has crashed another flying object in its airspace. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Friday afternoon in Washington that the object was shot down over the state of Alaska. It flew at an altitude of around 40,000 feet (12,192 meters) and therefore endangered civilian air traffic, Kirby said. It is not known who owns the property.
