The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, arrived at Aleppo Airport, to tour with the Syrian Minister of Health, Hassan Ghobash, and the Governor of Aleppo, some hospitals and shelters in Aleppo, following Monday’s earthquake.
Last Monday, an earthquake struck southern Turkey and northern Syria with a magnitude of 7.7, followed by another earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 hours later, as well as hundreds of violent aftershocks, which left huge losses of lives and property in both countries.
