Rigged videos (“deepfakes”) are wreaking ever greater havoc

Warning, major danger. Fake videos are multiplying online, already causing considerable damage. The phenomenon is not new, videos doctored with the help of artificial intelligence, called deepfakes, having appeared several years ago. But the progress made by these technologies, the democratization of these tools and their use now also for geopolitical purposes bring the phenomenon into a new dimension.
