When a young couple was shot dead in the village of Velka Maca in Slovakia on February 21, 2018, it is not foreseeable that the bloody deed will cost the Prime Minister his office. And no one suspects the long-term consequences either: the double murder of investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancé Martina Kusnirova not only makes headlines far beyond the borders of Slovakia.
