London ∙ English League Cup for Manchester United following defeating Newcastle United 2-0. Manchester United won a title following a fairly long gap of six years. The last one was the 2017 Europa League title. This is United’s first title under coach Erik ten Haag.
Manchester United scored the first goal in the 33rd minute through Casemiro and scored the second goal in the 39th minute through an own goal by Newcastle player Sven Boatman. Newcastle tried to fight back in the second half but Manchester United did not give up the win.
