Planica – The last of 24 gold medals at the Nordic World Championships in Planica, which was disappointing in many respects, went to Norway. Even the number one Nordic nation has looked better. After Paal Golberg’s cross-country victory over the 50 kilometers classic with mass start, she recorded 27 medals, twelve of them in gold. Two years ago in Oberstdorf there were 31 medals (13 gold). Of course, Norway had the most successful athlete in combined athlete Jarl Magnus Riiber, who won four titles. The most successful athlete was the German ski jumper Katharina Althaus with three gold and one bronze.
