The restaurant week started on Monday for the first time throughout Austria – 92 restaurants across Austria are taking part in the campaign week for cheap restaurant visits. Of the participating restaurants, 52 were awarded a total of 92 toques.
Between March 6th and 12th, special fixed-price menus can be enjoyed in well-known restaurants throughout Austria for a week. Upmarket restaurants offer three courses in the evening from EUR 39.50 and two courses at lunchtime from EUR 19.50.
“It was a careful feeling out with great, selected restaurants. The feedback in the federal states is consistently positive,” said the organizer Dominik Holter. According to the organizer, there was a large rush of guests to the participating restaurants. More than half of the restaurants are almost or fully booked.
Late decision-makers have the option of booking remaining seats up to four hours before going to the restaurant. Reservations are made in real time.
