Jadara Foundation celebrates March 8th in an impactful way by honoring female leadership during the 4th edition of the “Her Day For Her” master class.
Jadara Foundation celebrates female leadership. On March 8, a “Her Day For Her” master class was organized in Casablanca, thus highlighting several profiles of women who are both committed and inspiring.
This meeting, which is this year in its 4th edition, is part of the program to strengthen the leadership of the scholarship holders of the foundation. It thus enriches Jadara’s support program for scholarship holders. During this meeting marked by the presence of Said Ahmidouch, wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, twelve women’s journeys were shared. These are those of Nadia Benbahtane, Lamiae Ben Makhlouf, Laila Doukali, Sloua Karkri Belekziz, Nezha Larhrissi, Oumaima Mhijir, Meriem Borja, Aziza Gannoune, Wafa Naim El Idrissi, Sanaa Zaim, Imane Zaoui and Samia Akariou. The purpose is to inspire the participants in the master classes and allow them to break the endogenous part of the glass ceiling that paralyzes many girls and women.
“Girls perform better at school, yet the female employment rate is barely 20% and continues to decline in Morocco. Admittedly, the causes are multiple, but at our level we are trying to address two causes: self-censorship and the absence of inspiring models”, indicates in this sense Hamid Ben Elfadil, president of Jadara Foundation. This initiative by Jadara Foundation, which took place a few days before International Women’s Day, illustrates the commitment of this structure to act for equal opportunities in education, access to employment and professional development.
To mark the occasion, Jadara Foundation offered companies to celebrate March 8 by offering tickets to the master class to their employees instead of offering them flowers on this occasion. “Several companies and banks were kind enough to test the idea, which was also very successful,” we learn from the Foundation. And to continue that “this shows that more and more economic players want to celebrate March 8 as it should be. Especially since this program aligns with the United Nations SDGs, in particular SDG5”.
Indeed, the “Her Day For Her” program aims to enable each of the participants to project themselves into a future where they can flourish by drawing inspiration from one or more stakeholders.
