The Commander of the General Staff of the Armies, Lieutenant-General Bella Shaaban, discussed today, Friday, with the French Chief of Staff, General Thierry Burkhard, the strengthening of cooperation in the security and military field.
The talks took place at the headquarters of the General Staff of the Mauritanian armies in Nouakchott.
The talks were attended by the commander of the special forces, Major General Muhammad al-Sheikh Biedeh, the commander of the support squad led by the General Staff of the armies, Major General Gallo Saido, and the military attaché at the Mauritanian embassy in France, Major General Ahmed Ibn Auf.
Today, Friday, the French Chief of Staff, General Thierry Burkhard, began a one-day visit to Mauritania.
