Purple Day: Anaëlle, 11, talks about her daily life with epilepsy

March 26 is World Purple Day. A day to inform regarding epilepsy, a poorly understood disease that also affects children.

Anaelle11, tells how the disease manifests itself and how we live with it, as well as the difficulty, sometimes, in the eyes of others.

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disease characterized by violent, sudden, unpredictable and repetitive nerve discharges in the brain. In Belgium, approximately 80,000 people suffer from epilepsy, including 30,000 in Wallonia.

Anaelle can happily count on his parents to live the most serene life possible.
