Sharjah 24: The Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club of the Sharjah Sports Council concluded its organisation of the Mleiha Holy Quran Award Friday evening, which it organized as part of its activities for the holy month of Ramadan, with the participation of 40 contestants distributed in its three categories.
The award achieved a remarkable turnout and participation by the players and the citizens of the Mleiha area, in light of the club’s continuation of its cultural programmes and its keenness to encourage male and female youth to memorise and recite the Noble Quran during the holy month of Ramadan.
At the end of the competition, a ceremony was organised to unveil the Mleiha Ramadan Prize for the Quran, at which Mohammed Sultan Al Khasouni and Musabeh Butti Al Qaidi, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Mleiha, honoured the winners in the categories of the competition with financial prizes and certificates of appreciation.
