This service has not been available for a long time due to the disruption of global supply chains, which has made it impossible to ensure a sufficient and consistent supply of passport forms and to guarantee that the passport issuing service will be delivered on time within 5 working days.
Currently, the supply of passport forms is running smoothly, so the Migration Department, in cooperation with the Personal Document Issuing Center (ADIC), is renewing the service of ordering, producing and issuing a passport within 5 working days. The state fee for it remains unchanged – 57 euros, the report notes.
According to ADIC data, it is planned to have accumulated 145 thousand in the coming week. forms required for the production of passports. Another 118 thousand such forms will be delivered in mid-May.
When ordering a passport within 5 working days, the client will be able to submit the application in one department of the Migration Department, and pick up the produced document in another. True, in this case it will not be possible to use the service of passport delivery by courier, which is available when the document is ordered in the usual way.
Last year, a total of 435,129 passports were issued to Lithuanian citizens – this is the most since the restoration of independence.
