Auto Insurance Fees Raised in Kuwait | Pravasi | Deshabhimani

KUWAIT CITY> The Kuwait Insurance Regulatory Unit has approved the decision to increase the annual insurance of private vehicles. Increase annual insurance of private vehicles from KD 19 to KD 32 from April 16. The annual basic insurance premium for privately owned (non-personal) vehicles will be increased to 53 dinars. The regulatory unit has approved several decisions including amending the rates of compulsory insurance policy. The committee has also fixed the period for receiving compensation within a maximum of 10 working days from the date of completion of the insurance claim. The insurance policy for private cars and motorcycles with non-Kuwaiti license plates entering through the borders is KD 12 per week or KD 120 per year. Taxis are KD 20 per week or KD 140 per year, public transport vehicles are KD 16 or KD 183 per week, goods vehicles are KD 30 or KD 210 per year for control fees.
