A third of drinking water in France contaminated by residues of the pesticide chlorothalonil

A third of drinking water in France is contaminated with chlorothalonil residues according to a report by the National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety. This pesticide was banned in Europe in 2019, following 50 years of use and has been classified as a “probable carcinogen”.
