The 60 Megawatt Steam Power Plant at Teknecik Power Plant was out of service.
In his statement to BRT, the General Manager of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority, Dalman Aydın, stated that there was a malfunction in the steam power plant, the cause of which has not yet been determined.
Stating that there is no production deficiency at the moment, Aydın said, “There is no production deficiency, but there is information that there is a malfunction in the steam power plant. If it is not put into use, we may experience a lack of production.”
Kıb-Tek Manager Aydın pointed out that technical teams are expected to intervene to fix the malfunction.
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority Employees Union, on the other hand, announced that it would not look at the malfunctions that would occur as of 12.00 within the framework of the action.
