The next big change for the Ethereum network is imminent: In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the blockchain will receive a fundamental upgrade. It is intended to strengthen the new proof-of-stake mechanism that was introduced for Ethereum in September last year by “The Merge” – but also to make the network more flexible.
