Pollutants causing obesity? This is demonstrated by a Danish study, conducted on a European scale. PFAS are also called “eternal pollutants” because they take a very long time to break down. They are found in heaps of everyday objects, such as the adhesive coating of frying pans, clothing, fast-food packaging… We already knew that too much exposure could lead to health problems: cancer, cardio- vascular, or even increased cholesterol levels, but what the Danish study shows is that eternal pollutants contribute to the obesity epidemic.
