In Berlin, climate activists have called for further demonstrations on Sunday.
In the morning there was a bicycle demonstration once morest the further construction of the city motorway. The route led from Frankfurter Allee in Friedrichshain to a protest concert on the A100 near Tempelhofer Damm. According to the police, the A100 has been open to traffic once more since 12 noon.
According to a tweet from the music group “Lebenslaute”, who gave the protest concerts on the motorway, around 250 listeners were present on the section despite the rainy weather on Sunday morning.
Another bike parade on Sunday leads via Mehringdamm and Potsdamer Platz to the Brandenburg Gate. The activists want to demonstrate there in the followingnoon for a more committed climate policy by the federal government. There may also be traffic restrictions here.
