Beijing:The wait is finally over. International Olympic Committee (IAOC) President Thomas Bach said that the Chinese city of Hangzhou is fully prepared to host the Asian Games. He announced this following visiting various venues along with the Olympic Association delegation. With this, the worry regarding the Games was completely removed. The Asian Games will be held from September 23 to October 8, 2023 in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang in the eastern province of China. The games that were supposed to be held last year were postponed due to Covid.
The main venue of the Games is the Big Lotus Stadium, Tennis Centre, Aquatics Arena and Gymnasium, which is the IOC. The group visited Hangzhou Mayor and Games Organizing Committee General Secretary Yao Goiwan and officials of the Chinese Olympic Committee were also present. This is Bach’s first visit to China since the Beijing Winter Olympics.
About twenty five thousand athletes will participate in the Asian Games.
