Rome – Juventus Turin was punished with a point deduction shortly before the end of the season for financial offenses. Ten points were deducted from the Italian record champions in Serie A, making Juve’s participation in the Champions League acutely shaky. The supreme court of the football association FIGC passed the verdict on Monday, falling just short of the eleven points deduction demanded by chief prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè.
