The Scottish author Douglas Stuart won the renowned Booker Prize with his debut novel “Shuggie Bain”. The book has sold more than a million copies and is currently being made into a film by the BBC. When his latest novel, Young Mungo, was published, Nicola Sturgeon, then First Minister of Scotland, called him one of the greats of Scottish literature.
