MADRID — Spain made a right swing in regional and local elections on Sunday. The conservative People’s Party (PP) made strong gains in votes both in the Autonomous Communities and in many municipalities. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s Socialists lost their share of the vote and now have to look to the parliamentary elections at the end of the year with concern, mainly because of the dispute between their left-wing partners.
