You know those presentations with topics and topics on the same slide that end up becoming somewhat monotonous? O iA Presenter it’s an app for macOS that tries to escape this path and promote more dynamic and focused presentations.
While traditional slide designers (such as Keynote and PowerPoint) work on a topical basis, iA Presenter focuses on individual words or phrases on colored backgrounds for each slide — lessening your audience’s distraction and emphasizing one theme at a time.
Editing is also very simple, working with Markdown language. You simply type or paste the desired text and highlight (with a #) the word or phrase you want to make your audience stand out.
You can also add images and videos, as well as edit the font and colors of the presentation — although the app is a little limited in that sense, to radically focus on textual elements. There is no support for editing graphics, flowcharts or more advanced features present in traditional apps.
As it does not have structured slides with topics (whether they like it or not, they serve as support for the presenter), iA Presenter simply displays the rest of the typed text as a kind of teleprompter to help you with your presentation — that, of course, if you have a second monitor available.

If you liked the proposal of the app, it is available both in the subscription system (BRL 17 monthly or BRL 175 annually) and for a single purchase (BRL 350). Students have a 60% discount, but can only purchase the app through subscriptions.
Unfortunately, the app is exclusive to macOS, so there isn’t (yet?) a version adapted for mobile devices (like the iPad).
