NBA superstar LeBron James will act as the official starter of the 24-hour race in Le Mans (live on ORF1) on Saturday. For the leader of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) all-time points classification, this function at the 100-year anniversary of the long-distance race is a “great honor”.

For motorsport enthusiasts, it is the most important race and certainly the most legendary and most filmed: The 24 Hours of Le Mans on Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11th, 2023 rule the ORF, consequently the program of ORF1 and the ORF- TV library. From 2.40 p.m. ORF1 will show the race live in a total of six entries for around ten hours, Le Mans 2023 can be seen completely live in the live stream in the ORF-TVthek.
“There’s nothing better than experiencing top sport at its highest level,” said the 38-year-old four-time NBA champion. “It is an honor for me to be part of this historic moment. I am happy to start this iconic race.”
