It’s a new term in the extensive lexicon of scams and cyberattacks. After “phishing”, “smishing”, here is “vishing”. This Tuesday, the National Center for Cybersecurity (NCSC) presented a detailed study showing how criminals use this technique to try to fleece their victims. According to the Confederation, “vishing” is currently trying to target many Swiss people, with a method combining SMS, fake website and then phone calls. The weather moreover very recently became aware of a case of this type, close to that described by the NCSC.
