The Algerian presidency announced, in a statement published on Tuesday night, that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had dismissed Minister of Communication Mohamed Bouslimani.
The statement, which was unusually published around midnight, stated, “After consulting the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ended the duties of the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, and assigned the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication to run the ministry’s affairs on behalf.”
The presidency did not give any details about the reason for this decision.
