Burnley, newly promoted to the Premier League, succeeded in obtaining the signature of Chilean goalkeeper Laurence Vigorox, according to Bosman’s law, following the expiration of his contract with Leyton Orient, which he represented during the past 4 seasons in 143 matches in the English second division.

Lawrence Vigorux signed a 3-year contract with Burnley that will expire in June 2026, becoming the fourth deal for coach Vincent Kompany’s team following the trio Dara O’Shea from West Bromwich Albion, Michael Obafemi from Swansea City, and Jordan Pierre from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Born in England in 1993, Lawrence Vigorox began his football career with Tottenham Hotspur, and was promoted to the first team in 2013 without any participation in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper was loaned to Hyde United to represent him in 12 matches, then joined Liverpool for one season, and from there he was loaned to Swindon Town, who contracted him for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2016.

And the year 2020 witnessed his return to his home country, Chile, by representing Everton for only 6 months, during which he did not appear in any official league match, to return to England in 2020 from the Leyton Orient gate, which gave him the full opportunity, as happened with him during the Swindon Town period.
