Footballers of Zenit defeated Azerbaijani Neftchi with a score of 3:1 in the first match of the pre-season PARI Premier Cup, which takes place in St. Petersburg.
Gustavo Mantuan (49th minute), Claudinho (70) and Zelimkhan Bakaev (80) scored goals in the winners. The losers scored Matheus Saldanha (39, from the penalty spot).
Serbian Crvena Zvezda (Belgrade) and Turkish Fenerbahce (Istanbul, Turkey) will also play in the tournament.
In the next match of the tournament, Zenit will play with Red Star on July 4.
The prize fund of the PARI Premier Cup is 5 million rubles.
