For a still undetermined reason, the driver took the E25, in the direction of Liège in the opposite direction. Around 01:00, it caused an accident in which several vehicles were involved. The driver died but the lives of a second injured are no longer in danger.
The highway had been closed for several hours to allow the intervention of the emergency services.
