On Saturday, a motorist found himself stuck in his vehicle following swerving on the E42 motorway near Couthuin in the town of Héron.
It was 1:10 p.m. when the firefighters of the Hemeco zone were notified that a driver had, for an unknown reason, lost control of his vehicle while he was between the Andenne exit and the Huy exit in the direction of Liège. . The car swerved and ended up in a ditch. Given the layout of the premises, the driver was stuck in the passenger compartment. Fire crews extricated the driver.
The latter was not injured, but he was still taken to a hospital in the region for safety. The vehicle had to be towed. The firefighters stayed there for regarding an hour.
