Two subjects shot at a man who was entering the Bellas Artes station, in the eastern access of Metro Line 8, which caused his death following a few minutes, confirmed the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City.
Said access is located on Eje Central and República de Cuba, in the Historic Center. Almost immediately, an intense police mobilization began to find the alleged perpetrators.
According to the first reports, the victim is an approximately 45-year-old man, who suffered serious injuries following receiving three gunshot wounds.
At first glance, the man had a bullet in the leg, another in the chest and one more in the right arm. Although he received first aid, he died at the scene.
The testimonies of the SSC indicate that the attackers had been following the victim from outside the station and took advantage of the fact that the person was descending the stairs to attack him from behind.
The detonations occurred directly, so the motive for the robbery was ruled out.
The capital’s police immediately went to learn of the facts and reported to the agent of the Public Ministry for expert services.
In addition, the analysis of the video surveillance cameras is already being carried out to identify and locate the probable perpetrators.
