Experts in topography, photography, analysis of traffic accidents and other investigative specialties from the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office were in charge, on Saturday morning, of reconstructing the sketch to clarify what happened last Wednesday, July 5, during business hours. the morning, when Daniel Felipe Ibáñez Martínez lost his life.
The survey focused on the south to north direction of the exclusive Metrolínea lane, in the section between Provenza and the García Cadena viaduct, meters ahead of the return and the pedestrian bridge of the Diamante II neighborhood, where the young 22-year-old motorcyclist fell.
For two hours the route remained closed while the analysts compiled all the pertinent information to include it in the judicial file seeking to corroborate the version of witnesses that Daniel Felipe had lost control of his motorcycle because a traffic agent threw a cone at him orange color, weighing approximately 4 kilos, which caused the fatal fall.
In this advance of the collection of the evidentiary material, Metrolínea suspended its routes from the Molinos station to the Diamante station. To prevent demonstrations and disturbances of public order by motorcycle groups, the corridor was guarded by members of the Dialogue and Order Maintenance Unit of the Mebuc Police, formerly Esmad.

Lawyers ask for a murder charge
For their part, the lawyers Robert Daniel Dulcey and Juan Daniel Iglesias, attorneys for Daniel Ibáñez’s family, assured Vanguardia that, according to the investigations that have been carried out, they will not change the version that the death was due to the launch of the cone by part of the Bucaramanga Transit agent.
“We have the versions of a group of witnesses, 10 or 15 people who were circulating around the place at that time of the morning and they evidenced it, but everything is part of the prosecutor’s summary reserve.
“We hope that these versions will be expanded during the judicial process. We know that there are some videographic records, public cameras; However, this has a chain of custody, it is part of the reserve of the case. We are waiting to continue with the thesis and propose a culpable or intentional homicide to the degree of eventuality”, affirmed the attorneys of the victims of the notorious case.
The lawyers also indicated that they are waiting for meetings with the prosecuting entity to collaborate with the clarification of the case.
