Preining wins DTM race at Norisring after climate protest – Motorsport

Nuremberg – Thomas Preining has won the second DTM race at the Norisring and thus celebrated his first win of the season. The Porsche works driver from Upper Austria prevailed on Sunday ahead of German local hero Rene Rast and South African Sheldon Van der Linde. Climate activists from “Extinction Rebellion Racing” and “Last Generation”, who had entered the track without authorization, caused a delay of regarding 15 minutes before the start.
