Laser hair removal is carried out using special equipment that emits light waves of a certain range. They act on the pigment melanin contained in the hair follicle. Absorbing light energy, melanin heats up, under the influence of this heat, the matrix is destroyed – a part of the hair follicle, due to cell division of which hair grows, and the blood vessels that feed the follicle. As a result, the hair dies, falls out 10-14 days following the procedure, and a new one will not melt in its place.
