Book Day Celebration: A Fusion of Japanese Tales, Storytelling, and Dance at the Local Library

The local library, managed by Kumiko Marsden and her counterpart in Montolieu, had organized a book day. Admittedly, books were in the spotlight, with a presentation of works, set up under the marquee erected on the Bosquet de Le Nôtre. An ideal place to invite fervent readers to come and leaf through a few pages before listening to and seeing the juggler on duty who presented a Japanese tale, told in Japanese by Kumiko and translated into the language of Molière by the storyteller who, it must be admitted, had put into practice her talent as a former dancer to present the show. Nathalie Caussin, alias Nathalie Conte: “I am a dancer storyteller, I tell stories and I sprinkle them with classical and contemporary dances”, explained the artist who presented Foufy the binder, the Japanese tale, written by a writer from the land of the rising sun. In any case, the annual event attracted children and parents who were able to appreciate the arabesques of the twirling actress.
