Vienna – On Wednesday in the Palace of Justice it will be decided whether the acquittals for Heinz-Christian Strache and the accused businessman Siegfried Stieglitz will remain in the Asfinag case. The ex-vice chancellor was accused of having secured a supervisory board position in Asfinag for donations to a Stieglitz association close to the FPÖ. Both were acquitted of corruption charges in July 2022, but the public prosecutor’s office for economic affairs and corruption appealed once morest them.
