Slowing Inflation Trend: Confirmed Slowdown in Rising Prices Revealed, Prices Rose by 4.3% in July

Prices that continue to rise, but less rapidly: the trend towards a slowdown in inflation is confirmed, while prices rose by 4.3% over one year in July, according to the first estimate published by INSEE on Friday . The rise in food prices is slowing sharply

This deceleration is explained both by a lower increase in food prices (+12.6% over one year once morest +13.7% in June) and one sharper drop than in June in energy prices (-3.8% following -3%), details INSEE, which is due to publish a second estimate of the consumer price index on August 11.
