Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s Disappointing Reception on PC – Exploring the Decline in Sony Exclusives’ Popularity

2023-07-31 10:51:36

When Sony exclusives first made their way to PC, titles like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Marvel’s Spider-Man proved to be huge successes, attracting thousands of players upon release. However, the magic seems to be fading over time. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the latest game Sony has brought exclusively to the PC market, but there seems to be little interest in the game, as it had a peak player count of 8,757 according to SteamDB. This is the third lowest player count for a PlayStation Steam release, behind only Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Returnal. With solid reviews, it’s a little odd why players aren’t clamoring to get their hands on the latest Ratchet & Clank game. But, for whatever reason, PC users don’t seem to be interested in Action 3D platformers. Have you played Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?
